Sanctions screening against the OFAC and EU lists.

Checks company, vessel and aircraft names against the OFAC SDN and Consolidated lists and the EU Consolidated Financial Sanctions List, and returns every hit as one row with match score, sanctions programs, listing date, aliases, countries and identifiers such as IMO and registration numbers.

Price

10 USD

per 1 000 screened names (watch mode: 2 USD per 1 000 list records). Platform usage is included.

What it does.

Before comparing, both names are normalized: case, accents, punctuation and legal forms such as LLC, PJSC or AB are removed. A score of 100 means the same words in any order, and 85 to 99 means every word of the shorter name is in the longer one. The default threshold of 85 finds the listed company and its listed subsidiaries that carry its name; lower it to 75 or 80 to catch more spelling variants, at the cost of more false positives.

Records of natural persons are dropped when the lists are read, so only companies, organizations, vessels and aircraft are returned. Without names the tool runs in watch mode and returns the most recently listed or amended records. The rows are list data, not legal or compliance advice. The sample below screened Rosneft, Bank Melli and Sberbank on 4 October 2026.

What people use it for.

  • KYB and AML checks

Screen customers, suppliers and counterparties against both lists and keep the score and the listed record together.
  • Vessel screening

Check ship names before a charter; OFAC lists vessels with IMO numbers and call signs.
  • Daily list watch

A scheduled run in watch mode with onlyNew set to true returns only records added or amended since the last run.
  • Re-screening your own list

Put your customer or supplier names in names with onlyNew set to true, and a run returns rows only on a day something on the lists changed for one of them.

What a run costs

A run with empty input runs in watch mode and returns the 50 most recently listed or amended records, which costs 0.10 USD. Screening costs 0.01 USD per name and run, with or without matches: the run on 4 October 2026 shown above screened three names and returned 35 matches in about 38 seconds, most of it spent downloading the lists, which is 0.03 USD. Platform usage is included in the price.

Run it on a schedule.

  1. Ask for new rows only

Set onlyNew to true. The actor remembers what it has already delivered for the same input, in a named key-value store in your own Apify account (nightwave-state-sanctions-entity-screening).
  2. Add a schedule

Add the actor to a schedule in Apify Console, for example with the cron expression 0 7 * * * for 07:00 every day.
  3. Get what is new

The first run returns everything in the selection. After that, each run returns and charges only what is new. A run with nothing new finishes with 0 rows and costs nothing.

Source and license.

OFAC data comes from SDN_ENHANCED.XML and CONS_ENHANCED.XML in the OFAC Sanctions List Service, and EU data from the Financial Sanctions File on data.europa.eu. Every run reads the current files. The UN list is not included, since its terms do not allow commercial reuse, but the EU implements every UN designation in its own list. The tool is not affiliated with or endorsed by OFAC, the US Treasury or the European Commission.

The OFAC lists are a work of the US Government, for which copyright protection is not available under 17 U.S.C. § 105. The EU list is reused under the European Commission's reuse notice, Commission Decision 2011/833/EU, which allows reuse with appropriate credit and changes indicated. The tool removes records of natural persons and renames and normalizes fields. Always check a match against the official source in sourceUrl.
