What it does.

Ask with common names such as gdp, inflation or unemployment, or with any World Bank indicator code or Eurostat dataset. Countries are ISO2 or ISO3 codes, and aggregates such as the world, the European Union and the euro area work too. In auto mode every country comes from the World Bank, so the numbers are comparable worldwide, and Eurostat is used for areas the World Bank does not have.

The sources differ: the World Bank reports GDP in US dollars and uses CPI inflation, Eurostat uses euro and the harmonised index (HICP), and source, sourceIndicator and unit always say which one you have. A run with empty input returns GDP, inflation and unemployment for Sweden, the United States and Germany for the last few years. The sample below is from a Eurostat run for the Nordic countries and the EU on 3 October 2026.

  • AI agents

Economic data for an agent through the Apify MCP server, with small defaults and stable field names.
  • New releases

A scheduled run with onlyNew set to true tells you when a new year or month has been published.

What a run costs

A run with the default input returned 35 data points on 7 October 2026 in about 12 seconds, which is 0.07 USD. The Eurostat run shown above returned 45 data points, 0.09 USD. maxResults caps every run (default 50), periods without a value are not charged, and platform usage is included in the price.

Run it on a schedule.

  1. Ask for new rows only

Set onlyNew to true. The actor remembers what it has already delivered for the same input, in a named key-value store in your own Apify account (nightwave-state-global-economic-indicators).
  2. Add a schedule

Add the actor to a schedule in Apify Console, for example with the cron expression 0 7 * * * for 07:00 every day.
  3. Get what is new

The first run returns everything in the selection. After that, each run returns and charges only what is new. A run with nothing new finishes with 0 rows and costs nothing.
