What it does.

The ECB sets its reference rates once a day around 14:10 CET and publishes them around 16:00 CET on TARGET business days, with history back to 4 January 1999. Choose the currencies, a date range and daily rates or monthly averages. With base SEK the tool divides two ECB rates of the same day, so you get for example USD per SEK and, in inverseRate, SEK per USD; those cross rates are marked derived and name both ECB series.

includePolicyRates adds the ECB deposit facility, main refinancing operations and marginal lending facility rates and the Riksbank policy rate, in percent per year. A run with empty input returns the last week of daily rates for USD, SEK, GBP, NOK and DKK against the euro. The sample below is one day from a run with base SEK and policy rates on 3 October 2026.

What a run costs

A run with the default input returns the last week of daily rates for five currencies, 25 rows on a normal week, which is 0.05 USD. The run with empty input on 7 October 2026 covered six reference days and returned 30 rows in about 7 seconds, 0.06 USD. maxResults caps every run (default 50), and platform usage is included in the price.

Run it on a schedule.

  1. Ask for new rows only

Set onlyNew to true. The actor remembers what it has already delivered for the same input, in a named key-value store in your own Apify account (nightwave-state-ecb-exchange-rates).
  2. Add a schedule

Add the actor to a schedule in Apify Console, for example with the cron expression 0 7 * * * for 07:00 every day.
  3. Get what is new

The first run returns everything in the selection. After that, each run returns and charges only what is new. A run with nothing new finishes with 0 rows and costs nothing.

Source and license.

Exchange rates and the ECB key interest rates come from the ECB Data Portal API, and the Riksbank policy rate from the Riksbank's SWEA API. Neither needs a key. The tool makes one request to the ECB for all exchange rates, one for the ECB policy rates and one to the Riksbank. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the European Central Bank or Sveriges Riksbank.

Under the ECB policy on the reuse of ESCB statistics, public statistics may be reused free of charge, also commercially, if the source is quoted ("Source: ECB statistics.") and the statistics are not modified. The krona cross rates are calculated by the tool and marked derived: true. According to the Riksbank its data is free of charge and may be adapted and used without permission or agreement. Every row carries source, series and license.
